That Was That
Kat the Cat
Matt the Bat
and
Pat the Rat
Chased a Gnat
Just to have a Chat
They all Sat
In a moose's Hat
That was the end of That.

Parenthood
Imagine that this cute little kitty - your kitty - and let's call her "Hazel", left a piece of poop on your front step, using it to communicate that she is out of there. Every few weeks, you catch a glimpse of her in the distance. Okay, good. She looks healthy and happy. How wonderful, but you still feel lonesome without her. Months and months go by in the same way. Then one day she is back, as if she had never been gone. After a time, you relax and get back into that old comfort zone. You forget. Of course, Hazel leaves again, only this time without the little poop message. It might be for good this time. Welcome to the world of parenthood.
